The rules of using LinkedIQ.
A reasonable, plain-language SaaS agreement. We've tried to make it as short and unsurprising as it can legally be. By using LinkedIQ, you agree to these terms.
01 The agreement
This is the agreement between you and LinkedIQ, Inc. ("LinkedIQ", "we", "us") for the use of our website, app, and services (collectively, the "Service"). If you're using LinkedIQ on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.
The short version: Use LinkedIQ for its intended purpose. Don't break it, abuse it, or use it to harm other people. Pay your bill on time. Your content stays yours. Our software stays ours.
02 Your account
To use the Service, you create an account. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure, for everything that happens under your account, and for telling us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. The Service is built for professional use; you may not share your account with other people.
03 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to analyze content that isn't yours, or that you don't have the right to use.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service.
- Use the Service to generate or disseminate material that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or security measures.
- Resell the Service or build a competing product using our outputs as training data.
- Use the Service in violation of LinkedIn's own terms of service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where reasonable, we'll give you a chance to fix the issue first.
04 Payment & refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance — monthly or annually, as you choose. Prices are listed at linkediq.app/pricing in US dollars. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; price changes apply at your next renewal.
If your payment fails, we'll retry and notify you. If we can't collect after a reasonable period, we'll downgrade you to the Free plan (your data stays).
Taxes: prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.). You're responsible for any taxes assessed on your purchase based on your billing location, except for taxes on our income. Where required by law, we (or our payment processor) will collect those taxes on top of the listed price.
Refunds: monthly plans are non-refundable but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. Annual Pro plans are refundable in full within the first 14 days, no questions asked. After day 14, annual plans are non-refundable but you can cancel future renewals.
05 Your content & IP
You own your content. The LinkedIn profile PDF, the analytics XLSX, anything you upload, and your analysis outputs — those are yours. We just process them on your behalf.
You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you. That license ends when you delete the content. We do not use your content to train foundation models (see our Privacy Policy for the specifics).
06 Our IP
The Service — the software, the analysis methodology, the model architectures, the brand, the writing on this site — is owned by LinkedIQ or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose while your account is active.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service, or claim that you made it. You also may not use our logo or brand without written permission, except to truthfully say you use the Service.
07 AI outputs
LinkedIQ's recommendations, rewrites, and predictive scores are generated by AI systems applied to your content. These outputs are suggestions, not advice. You decide whether to act on them.
- Outputs may contain errors, omissions, or stale information. Verify before relying.
- You own outputs derived from your own content. To the extent we have any rights in those outputs, we assign them to you.
- We make no guarantee that the Service will improve any specific metric, lead to any specific professional outcome, or generate any particular result.
08 Service availability
We aim for high availability on paid plans and we'll communicate any unplanned downtime by email and on our marketing site. Planned maintenance is announced in advance; emergency maintenance is announced as soon as we can. We may publish a public status page as the company matures.
We may change or discontinue features over time. If we discontinue a feature you're actively relying on, we'll give you reasonable advance notice and a way to export your data.
09 Termination
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access to paid features through the end of your current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms or use the Service in a way that creates legal, security, or operational risk. We'll notify you and, where reasonable, give you a chance to remedy first. We may terminate immediately for serious violations.
On termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. You can request export beforehand.
10 Warranties & liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any outputs will be accurate or meet your expectations.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
11 Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the change; if you don't, you can cancel before the change applies.
12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
13 Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@linkediq.app. If something here doesn't make sense, ask. We'd rather rewrite a paragraph than have you uncertain about what you agreed to.
